Nippon Steel Trading to acquire CLN Slovakia.
Nippon Steel Trading, the Tokyo-based trading company of the Nippon Steel group, announced on 30 October 2026 that it has decided to acquire all shares of CLN Slovakia, a steel service centre in Košice, Slovakia, from Italy's C.L.N. Coils Lamiere Nastri through its Austrian subsidiary. CLN Slovakia slits and levels steel, mainly for the automotive industry, and has 69 employees. It was announced on 30 October 2026 and had not been signed by 3 November 2026.
