Financial Accountant (Japanese speaking)

In close partnership with a leading Japanese manufacturer, we are hiring a Financial Accountant in the heart of Amsterdam.

As Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the financial operations of the business, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure financial reports comply with local Dutch regulations and international accounting standards.
• Post journal entries and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
• Monitor and analyze financial transactions to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
• Process invoices and manage accounts payable to ensure timely and accurate payments.
• Handle accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections, to maintain healthy cash flow.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of internal controls to safeguard financial assets.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in financial operations.
• Collaborate with other accounting and finance team members to ensure smooth operation of financial processes.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Financial Accountant or in a similar role within an international or multi-national company.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Good communication skills in English and Japanese; Dutch proficiency is an advantage.
• 5+ years of experience with financial accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Pro-active and innovative personality.
